Growing up on our family farm in eastern Iowa is where I first discovered my love for flowers and the unique scents they provide.  Some of my most vivid memories come from the smell wafting in from our Lilac tree in our backyard during early spring.  As it always happens, my focus in life shifted in my pursuit of establishing a career and a family.  I was fortunate enough to marry my college sweetheart and together we have 2 beautiful daughters, Everly & Ivy.  Juggling my family and working to establish my career was starting to take its toll and I could tell that my job was starting to become my life and that isn’t the life I wanted for myself or for my family.  I wanted to show Everly & Ivy that it’s ok to follow your dreams and that success isn’t just about how much you make or your title.  I knew my passion wasn’t in what I was doing for my career and that if I didn’t work to make a change soon, I wouldn’t at all.  Over the years, my mom and I always talked about starting a flower farm together and as those conversations become more substantial, I began to see the vision that is now Ev & Ivy’s Blooms & Candle Co.

On 1/1/2024, I dedicated myself to starting this business, which included learning how to make candles.  I knew that I wanted to provide more than flowers and I have always loved what candles can provide, regardless of the situation.  Candles are a symbol that are used throughout the world in our most meaningful moments and combining that with my love for flowers and the scents they provide, it was a natural progression.

I am very excited to bring these to you and my goal is that these bring you the same amount of joy that I get from creating them.
